First Aid For Schools, Emergency Life Support (ELS)
First Aid For Schools Emergency Life Support (ELS) is First Aid techniques that will assist in keeping a casualty alive until professional medical help arrives. SMARTT will give students who attend our First Aid For Schools the skills, knowledge and confidence required to recognise and respond to a life threatening emergencies.
We strongly promote that secondary school students should be taught ELS from Key Stage 3 and their skills should be refreshed yearly until they leave school. ELS is fun and easy and learn. It can be performed without any First Aid knowledge. It takes as little as two hours to teach. Schools can include ELS certification in a range of different GCSE subjects including Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE), Physical Education (PE), and Health and Social – and its “FREE”
Young people from 10+ can attend the ELS course, however, some ELS skills like making a 999 call or placing someone in the recoveryposition can be learnt by much younger children. As well as equipping them with the knowledge to be the difference between life and death, learning first aid helps to improve self esteem as well as teamwork and communication skills. All of our resources are curriculum-related, inclusive and differentiated.

SMARTT deliver Emergency first aid in the work place to our Sixth Form students and first aid for schools to our GCSE students. The students thoroughly enjoy the day and take a lot away from it. Delivery is excellent, its well organised and tutors kept the students engaged throughout. I would definitely recommend SMARTT to any organisation. Fantastic and thanks!!
