Annual Refresher Training
2-Day First Aid at Work Requalification
Because First Aid at Work certificates is valid for a three year period only, all delegates will be required to complete a requalification course. This includes both the theory and practical assessments which are the same as the ones conducted on the 3 Day First Aid at Work course. It is a requirement of Health & Safety law that employers should ensure the health and safety and welfare of their employees and the public. Employers must also provide adequate personnel, training and equipment to render first aid to their employees.
The First Aid at Work qualification is valid for a period of three years at which point a requalification course must be taken. For comprehensive details please view the course specifications below.
Annual Refresher training Contents
The Role and Responsibility of a First Aider – Assessing an Incident – Managing an Unresponsive Casualty who is Breathing Normally – Managing an Unresponsive Casualty who is not Breathing Normally – Recognise and Assist a Casualty who is Choking – Managing a Casualty who is Wounded and Bleeding – Managing a Casualty who is in Shock – Managing a Casualty with a Minor Injury – Administer First Aid for a range of conditions – Managing a Casualty for a range of major illnesses
Candidates who are not in possession of a current 3 Day First Aid at Work certificate or whose current 3 Day First Aid at Work certificate is not due to expire for four months or longer will not be allowed to attend this course.
All successful students will be issued with a new First Aid at Work Certificate which lasts for a period of 3 years, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.
