Level 2

This course has been designed so that all food handlers in the catering sector can satisfy their legal requirement to undertake training. The course is aimed at food handlers working in catering or hospitality. The course gives learners a basic awareness of good hygiene and safety issues and meets food industry regulations, with reference to employees preparing, cooking and handling food in catering settings. The course includes topics such as:

Level 3

The Level 3 Food Safety Course is created for supervisors and food managers who require a broader understanding of food safety control in the catering sector. The course is recommended for anyone responsible for managing people in a food business. It is created to provide detailed knowledge and understanding of food safety principles and ractices, through identifying potential hazards to food safety. In providing this knowledge, supervisors and food managers will be able to develop and carry out food safety systems appropriate to their workplace. Level 4

This qualification is predominantly designed for senior staff and those who are managers of food handlers in a food business within the catering and hospitality industry. It covers all of the required aspects of food hygiene and safety in depth, providing candidates with a thorough knowledge and understanding. It concentrates on the need for programmes and procedures to be properly drawn up, introduced and monitored to ensure full compliance with the legislation. The aim of this qualification is to provide an in-depth knowledge and understanding of food safety and food hygiene principles and practices. Holders of this qualification will have the appropriate knowledge and understanding of food safety to develop and enforce food safety management systems.
