- Try to make them lay flat on their back, and if necessary, move the whole body simultaneously, making sure you do not cause harm to their limbs
- Try to facilitate the breathing process: open their airways, lift their chin and push the forehead and eliminate any piece of clothing or object which may prevent the person to breath normally. Be careful if the person has suffered a neck injury cause by a car accident for example, because you are not allowed to move their head in this situation or you could cause more harm;
- Move fast and check the vital signs for no more than 10 seconds (such as pulse)
- If none of the above cause the person to breathe and there is no professional help, it is highly recommended to start performing chest compressions, or rescue breathing.
