• Prevent – further injuries and yourself becoming a casualty
• Promote recovery – calling the emergency services

Every organisation must ensure by law that they have a sufficient number of employees that possess a valid First Aid Qualification in order to fulfil their First Aid requirements.  Its the employer’s responsibility to decide what the requirements of the organisation are by assessing any specific work hazards and ensuring that sufficient staff, equipment and facilities are available to deal with the consequences of these hazards.

As part of each assessment, the HSE recommends organisations should look at things such as the nature of work engaged in and the subsequent hazards and risks, the size of the organisation, work patterns and accident histories amongst other things.

Here at SMARTT North East, we recognise the significant importance of knowing how to act in the event of an accident or emergency. Our approved Level 2 and Level 3 courses provide First Aid Training for all workplaces and homes.

SMARTT can deliver Approved First Aid Training courses on our own premises in house. We appreciate how alarming it can be to learn such new skills and our approach to training will build confidence in you as the First Aider and give individuals the ability to provide life saving skills such as, CPR/first aid assistance. Individuals will also be given unlimited practice and continued support to maintain these skills.
